SIBYLLE DE TAVERNOST

When design meets material, a new interpretation of textile craftsmanship emerges.

In collaboration with Sibylle de Tavernost, renowned for her distinctive and expressive rug designs, La Maison de la Maille explores a creative dialogue in which graphic compositions leave the floor and find a new expression through knitting.

Originally conceived for rugs, these patterns have been carefully reinterpreted and translated into bespoke throws of exceptional quality.
Through knit, they reveal a new dimension—softer, more intimate and deeply tactile.

Crafted from extra-fine merino wool, the throws offer remarkable softness, while cashmere bouclé introduces a subtle and precious texture, enriching the material with depth and character.
A balance between graphic structure and sensory experience, where every detail is considered with precision.

Bold and highly recognisable, the motifs become mobile.
They accompany the body, integrate naturally into interiors and transform the textile object into a true element of interior architecture.

More than throws, these creations are pieces of character.
Thoughtful objects that exist at the intersection of design and exceptional textile craftsmanship.

A meeting of two creative languages.
A dialogue between pattern and material.

The throws created through this collaboration are available for purchase on Sibylle de Tavernost’s website.
